Intel Launches First Artificial Intelligence Hot Chip
Intel Nervana Neural Network Processor Intel has revealed its first high-performance Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven neural network chip "Nervana" to catch up with the growing high-speed computing and robotics demand in the global world. On Tuesday at the "Hot Chips 2019" conference at Stanford University in California, the chip-maker unveiled the Nervana Neural Network Processors, otherwise known as Springhill, with the NNP-T for training and the NNP-I for inference. Naveen Rao, Intel Vice President and General Manager, Artificial Intelligence Products Group emphasized on the future state of AI.
